Talk about a great hospitality is not so difficult when we refer to a place like Biltmore Estate, USA, North Carolina, that has the taste of the special, has the biggest American home and much more. It deserves all the awards it has because of the many attractive things including history of that place, architecture’s beauty, elegance and luxury style of the Vanderbilt family, the giant dimension of 8 thousand acres property of Biltmore Estate, that are only extra items of the hotel excellence service and the leisure and hospitality offered from them to their guests and visitors.

It has three different luxurious hotels (The Inn, Cottage and Village Hotel) with daily activities to entertain their guests and visitors in many different ways including carriage rides, live piano at sunset, complete SPA service, shopping at 13 stores in the property, complementary wine tasting from their own winery, fine dining at the 6 gourmet restaurants, with a fireplace and organic ingredients that comes from their own farm direct to the table (since 1895) and much more. The outdoor activities include fishing, hiking, biking, tours with special guide and others. It has a long entertainment list.

A daily “menu” with all the entertainment and activities comes early in the morning under your hotel room door at The Inn hotel, as well as the newspaper. The hospitality details include housekeeping twice a day to make sure everything you want for your comfort is there: fresh flowers and fruits, ice, chocolate, water and wine from the property in a wonderful decorated room with antiques and the “V” family monogram on the pillow. Enchanted is how the guest should be for a great hospitality, with a lot of work, serious management, high quality and attention in all the small details. All of this has a high cost, but it worth it. Satisficed and loyalty guests are the result of success. High occupancy at the hotels and visitors area are the best compensation for commercial hospitality.

Only the mountain view from your room can take your breath away, before you think about walk around the big property and the many acres of yard with unforgettable gardens, green house with a collection of orchids and tropical plants. Please check out the video below that I did to share with you this beauty at the wonderful gardens there. I was amazed with that! Do you need to be rich to have the best hospitality? No. You need perfect service. But this place has both.

Ah! I almost forget to talk about the main attraction at the Biltmore Estate, the big House (I would call Castle or Palace) from Mr. and Mrs. Edith and George Vanderbilt, with more than 4 acres built in the end of 1800. Inspired in the French Castells style it has 65 fireplaces, 43 bathrooms, more than 10 thousand books at the library, indoor swimming pool and more. I made a movie for you to understand better what I am talking about. The ticket cost in 2018 is 50-75 Dollars per person per day to visit the property, including the house and the gardens.

OMG, I also need to talk about the winery and the wine. The are proud to be the most visited winery in USA, located at the Anter Hill Village, near the hotels, with more than 20 vintage kind or wine. They offer visit to the vineyards, boat rides and complementary wine tasting. Also a wine menu at the restaurants. The wine I liked the most were the white Chardonnay reserve and the red Sangiovese. They were great!

Os cuidados na hospitalidade incluem, além desse serviço bem cedo, mais duas visitas diárias das camareiras ao seu apartamento para que tudo seja perfeitamente adequado ao seu gosto: gêlo no quarto, chocolates, flores naturais, frutas frescas, máquina de café, água e vinho com rótulo próprio são detalhes percebidos por hóspedes exigentes, num ambiente de requinte decorado com móveis de antiquário e almofadas bordadas com o monograma “V” da família. Encantamento é a palvra-chave da hospitalidade, advinda de muito trabalho, muita seriedade no gerenciamento, alta qualidade e atenção aos mínimos detalhes. Tudo isso pode custar muito caro por diária para um apartamento duplo ou custar mais ainda em pacotes de feriados e datas comemorativas, que também incluem shows e queima de fogos.

Só a vista das montanhas de Asheville na janela do seu quarto já lhe tiram o fôlego, muito antes de você pensar em caminhar no infindável jardim florido e reservas florestais ao redor da casa principal, com uma casa aquecida para plantas, flores tropicais e uma verdadeira coleção de orquídeas raras. Fiz uma filamgem tipo selfie e fotografias nessas áreas para dividir com vocês a minha expressão de encantamento estupefato diante de tanta beleza e riqueza. Precisa ter riqueza para ter hospitalidade perfeita? Não. Precisa mesmo é ter um serviço impecável. Mas esse lugar tem os dois.

Ah! Ainda nem falei do atrativo principal no Biltmore Estate, a casa grande (eu chamaria de palácio) do Sr. George e Sra. Edith Vanderbilt construída no final dos anos 1800, com mais de 16 mil metros quadrados (4 acres). Castelo em estilo Francês, inaugurado em 1895, com 250 compartimentos em 4 pisos,  É a maior casa de propriedade privada nos Estados Unidos com 65 lareiras, 43 banheiros, acervo privado de 10 mil livros, piscina coberta e outros. Fiz um filme com fotos e videos tipo selfie só para você entender melhor do que eu estou falando.  Custa em 2018 de 50 a 75 dólares por pessoa o ingresso para um  dia de visita nos jardins e na casa (castelo) que hoje é como um museu.

Ai ai ai, preciso também falar da vinícola e dos vinhos. Eles tem orgulho de ser a vinícola mais visitada dos Estados Unidos, localizada na Antler Hill Village, bem próximo dos hotéis, commais de 20 rótulos vintage. Oferecem visita à plantação de uvas, passeio de barco e degustação gratuita de vinhos e menu de vinhos e petiscos nos restaurantes da vinícola. Meus preferidos foram o vinho branco Chardonnay reserva e o vinho tinto Sangiovese. Fantásticos!

No site deles tem dicas de como servir vinhos junto com os diferentes alimentos. Queijos e chocolates adequados aos diferentes tipos de vinhos, pratos que combinam melhor com certos vinhos, vinhos para as diferentes estações do ano e assim por diante.
